Mölnlycke to split into two companies

The Swedish medtech company Mölnlycke plans to separate its Operating Room Solutions (ORS) and Gloves businesses into a new stand-alone company, Mölnlycke Surgical. The change is expected to be completed during 2027.

The existing Mölnlycke will retain its Wound Care and Antiseptics businesses, while Mölnlycke Surgical will focus on solutions for surgical settings. This was announced in a press release.

According to the company’s Board, the separation will give the two businesses a sharper strategic focus, clearer accountability and better conditions for responding to evolving customer needs.
